Pre-Development Applications

In some instances, it may be appropriate to seek Council's views on a particular development proposal before lodging a formal Development Application (DA) with Council. A Pre-Development Application (pre-DA) provides the opportunity for this to occur and may be valuable in guiding the final design of a proposal before its formal lodgment with Council as a DA.

As part of the Pre-DA application process, it is necessary to prepare a preliminary (or draft) Statement of Environmental Effects for submission with your Pre-DA application to Council.
